Went over 6.2 Comparing and Ordering Ratios. Assignment for today to go to Big Ideas through Clever and Complete 6.2 Comparing and Ordering Ratios (pgs 255-256. #4-21, 22, 25, 26 in the textbook.). Had over 25 minutes in class.
Test corrections for those students who got below a C- are due on Friday. See the post from yesterday for more information. Got you Chapter 5 Test back. If you got below a C- (D+, D, D-, or F) I need a parent signature. If this applies to you, you may try to raise up your grade to a C- by correctly fixing all the problems you got wrong on a separate piece of paper showing your work. Do this and I can raise up your grade. I need this by Friday March 3rd If you need to make up the test please come talk to me so we can arrange a time for you to make up the test.
Started Chapter 6 today. Went over 6.1 Integers. Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas through Clever and complete 6.1 Integers (pgs 252 -253. #4-23, 25-29 from the textbook.). Had 3o minutes in class to work on this. Had the period to work on the following assignment from the book. Pg 239 #1-10, 12-19. Due at the end of the period.
Went over the Chapter 5 Practice Test today in class. Students should have all the correct answers. I will collect the practice test tomorrow. I passed out a 3 X 5 card/paper in class. You may write whatever you want on the card to help you on the test tomorrow. Think of this a a "cheat sheet." You are not allowed to attach anything to the paper using glue, staples, post it, paper clip, etc. Don't forget to bring the 3 X 5 card. tomorrow for the test on Chapter 5
Had the entire period to work on the Chapter 5 Practice Test. You may used your notes for this practice test. We will go over it tomorrow. Remember our test is this Thursday. 
We will be having our Chapter 5 Test next Thursday February 23rd. Have a great 4 day weekend.
No assignment today. Tomorrow I will tell you when our Chapter 5 test will be.
Finished talking about 5.6 Percent Problems. Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas online through Clever and complete 5.6 Percent Problems Part 2 (pg. 229-230. #19-22, 27-36, 39-41 from the textbook.). Had 25 minutes in class to work on this. We will be having a test sometime next week. Right now it is looking to be next Thursday, but that could change.
Started the last section in Chapter 5 (5.6 Percent Problems). Talked about how to find the percent of a number. Your assignment is to go to Big Ideas online and complete 5.6 percent Problems (pg. 229 #3, 5-14, 17, 24, 25 in the textbook). Had 20 minutes in class to work on this. Will finish go over the rest of 5.6 tomorrow.
