ASSIGNMENTS

*For each lesson (classwork) and lesson practice (assignment) that is done with our
math curriculum, the majority of it, will be done online through the Amplify app found on Clever.

*Every lesson and lesson practice that is online will have a date that it is created and a due date.  Once that due has passed, that classwork or assignment will close.  When that happens, it cannot be accessed again.

1st Semester->Each lesson and lesson practice will be open for 4 weeks.

2nd Semester->Each lesson and lesson practice will be open for 2 weeks.

*Students will sometimes need to show work for online classwork and assignments.
When this happens, students will be given a special form by the teacher to do this.  This
form will need to be turned in when the lesson or lesson practice is due, in order to get points for their grade.

*Assignments are worth points.  The number of points will be determined by how many slides there are.  Each slide is worth a point.

*Students will not receive full credit on an assignment for the following reasons: not fully
completing an assignment, not following directions, not showing work when instructed
by the teacher, getting an incorrect answer, or not fully giving an explanation on how they solved the problem.

*Some assignments will be done online on Clever through an app called Amplify and some assignments will be done entirely on paper.

*Will be given time in class to complete.  However, there may be some instances when
no class time is given for assignments.

*Assignments done on paper need to be done in pencil.  If done in pen, no credit will be given.

*No calculators are allowed to complete assignments unless told otherwise.

*Assignments will generally be given 1 to 3 times a week and will always be due the next
time the class meets unless told otherwise.

*Occasionally there might be assignments given over the weekend.

LATE WORK
*An assignment is considered late if it is not turned in (either online or on paper) when the teacher asks for it.  For example, if the assignment is turned in after the teacher asks for it: at the end of the period or later in the day, it is considered late.

*Late work will only be accepted during the time we are covering the unit that is associated with that work.  For example, while covering Unit 2 students may turn in late work for that unit only.  Once the test has been given for that unit, assignments for Unit 2 will no longer be accepted.

*1ST semester-> Work that is turned in late can still receive full credit if all the work is done, all work is shown, and all explanations are given.

*2nd semester-> Work that is turned in late will only be given a maximum of half credit (50%) if all the work is done, all work is shown, and all explanations are given.
