Continued to talk about 1.2 Powers and Exponents.  The assignment for today is pg.  15 #25-32, 40-43.   Had about 15 minutes in class to work on this. Remember to put this assignment on the same paper as yesterday's assignment pg.  14 #4-12, 14-17.  Please put two problems in a box for this new assignment as well.  I will collect both of these assignments tomorrow.  They should be on one paper.

Had about 30 minutes to work on the assignment Practice 1. 1 A Handout. You were given this handout last week.  For this, do problems #7-8, 10-11, 13 17-18.  For problems 17 and 18 you need to solve the problem and put your answer in a sentence.  

If you haven't turned in your Menu Math assignment or turned in the signed syllabus paper, please get that turned in to me ASAP.

Collected the Menu Math Assignment today and the Syllabus Signature paper.  If you didn't turn those in, please turn them in next week to get points for your grade.  

Worked on the assignment from the book that I gave out yesterday in class.  The assignment is pg.  7 #8-9, 13, 16, 18-19, 22-24.  Please remember that for the word problems (#8 and 9)  you need to put your answer in a sentence.  Had about 10 minutes in class yesterday to work on it.  Students had about 30 minutes in class today to work on it today.  We will go over it on Monday.  That is when it is due.  

Passed out a copy of the Course 1 syllabus for the class that I gave out at Back To School Night last night.  You need to take it home and go over it with one of your parents.  Please sign the last page and return it for points for you grade.

Started taking notes on 1.1 Whole Number Operations.  I passed out a handout for this in class.   We will continue filling out these notes tomorrow.  This paper should go in your 3-Ring Binder.  Assignment for today is 1.1 Practice A Handout.  Please do problem 1-6, 16.  I showed you how to fold your lined paper to make boxes for when we do assignments.  Remember one problem goes in a box.  Had about 20 minutes in class to work on this assignment.  It is due tomorrow.  Please make sure you have a red pen for tomorrow.  That is one of the supplies I asked you to get.
