Looked at some examples of find the area of composite figures.  No assignment today.  We will be having a test on Chapter 4 a week from tomorrow December 8th.  

Spent more time working on Area of Composite Figures.  Worked on Composite Figures Handout.  Please do problems 1 through 7.  Show your work as we have been doing in class.  You should have several examples in your notes.  Had 25 minutes in class to work on this

Started talking about Extension 4.3 Area of Composite Figures.  We will continue with this tomorrow.  No assignment today.

Reviewed how to find the area of Parallelograms, Triangles, and Trapezoids.  Assignment for today is 4.1 to 4.3 Handout.  Had 25 minutes in class to work on this.  Tomorrow we will begin looking at how to find the area of composite figures.

Finished MAPS testing.

Started doing MAPS testing today in class.  Will continue tomorrow.  

Talked about 4.3 Area of Trapezoids.  Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas througn Clever and complete 4.3 Area of Trapezoids. (pg.  170-171 #4-9, 11-14, 17, 18 from the textbook.). Had 20 minutes in class to work on this.  Remember your Answer Find and Shade Substitution Handout is due tomorrow.

Went over 4.2 Area of Triangles.  Assignment for today is go to to Big Ideas through Clever and complete 4.2 Area of Triangles (pg.  162-163 #32-14, 16 from the test book.). Had twenty minutes in class to work on this.  Your Answer Find and Shade Substitution Handout from last week is due this Wednesday.  

Finished talking about 4.1 Area of Parallelograms.  Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas through Clever and complete 4.1 Area of Parallelogram (pgs 156-157 33-8, 11-13, 14-16 from the textbook)

The Answer Find and Shade Substitution handout from two days ago is due next Wednesday November 15th.  Chapter 3 Test corrections for those students who got below a C- is due on Monday.
