Worked on the Unit 1 Lesson 2-5 Review handout in class.  Students corrected it in class.  They should have all the correct answers.  Will collect this in class tomorrow.  Reminder that we are having a quiz tomorrow on Unit 1 Lessons 2-5.

Got our iPads and finished Unit 1 Lesson 5 Classwork.  For this lesson there are no notes..  For the last 25 minutes in class students worked on Unit 1 Lesson 5 Practice (6.1.05) on the iPads.  If you didn't finish this in class, you will need to finish this at home.  Remember I am available in the morning before school if you need to use an iPad.  Remember that on Friday we are having a quiz on Unit 1 Lessons 2-5.  If you haven't turned in your syllabus signature paper, please get that turned in.  It counts for points for your grade.  Please see yesterday's post for a copy of the syllabus if you need it.

I passed out a copy of the Advanced  Course 1 syllabus for the class that I gave out at Back To School Night last Thursday September 3rd.  You need to take it home and go over it with one of your parents.  Please sign the last page and return it for points for you grade.  

Got on our iPads and Logged onto Amplify to Start Unit 1 Lesson 5  Off the Grid Part 1 Classwork.  Will finish this tomorrow.  On Friday we will be having our first quiz on Unit 1 Lessons 2 - 5.

Finished the last part of Unit 1 Lesson 4 Classwork using our Volume 1 workbooks.  Then we took notes on Unit 1 Lesson 4 and put it in our 3 Ring Binder with our other notes.  The blank notes and completed notes for this lesson can be found on the Course 1/Advanced Course 1 Notes tab on this website.  For the last 20 minutes we got on the iPads and went to Amplify through Clever to complete the Unit 1 Lesson 4 Practice (6.1.04).  If you didn't finish this in class you need to finish it at home.  This is due tomorrow.

Spent time reviewing multiplication and division problems.  Practiced multiplying 2 digit by 2 digit numbers and 3 digit by 2 digit numbers.  Then practicing dividing multi digit numbers by one and two digit divisors.  No assignment today.  ​

Using our Amplify Volume 1 workbooks we worked on Unit 1 Lesson 4 Exploring Parallelograms Part 2 Parallelograms On A Grid Classwork.  This can be found on pgs 30-34.  Don't forget that the Welcome to 6th Grade Math Booklet is due tomorrow

Took notes on Unit 1 Lesson 3 and put it in our 3 ring binder with our other notes.  You can find a copy of the notes and completed notes for this lesson on ​the Course 1/Advanced Course 1 Notes tab.  Got on the iPads to work on the Unit 1 Lesson 3 Practice (Practice 6.1.0.03) on Amplify.  Remember to go through Clever to get to Amplify online.  If you didn't finish this in class you need to finish it at home.  It is due tomorrow.  Remember I am available in the morning before school if you need any help or if you need to use an iPad to get this assignment done.  Your Welcome to 6th Grade Math Booklet is due this Wenesday.
