Continued taking notes on 3.1 Evaluating Expressions. Learned how to evaluate expressions. Assignment for today is pg. 116 #16-21, 25-36. Please make sure you show your work. Write out original expression, replade variable(s) with their values and then solve the problem. Had 20 minutes in class. Due tomorrow.
Got your Decimals Test back today. If you got below a C- (D+, D, D-, or F I need a parent signature on the testy. If this applies to you, you may try to raise up your grade to a C- by correctly fixing all the problems you got wrong on a separate piece of paper showing your work. Do this and I can raise up your grade. I need this by Friday December 13th. If you were absent and didn't take the test, you need to come talk to me to arrange a time to make up the test. I generally do make ups in the morning before school.
Started takling notes on 3.1 Algebraic Expressions. Learned about Terms, Constants, and Coefficients. Assignment for today is pg. 115 #8-13 from the textbook. Need to solve these on a piece of paper by making boxes. Had 15 minutes in class to work on this. Due tomorrow. Went over the Decimals Practice Test today in class. Students should have all the correct answerss. I passed out a 3 X 5 paper in class. You may write whatever you want on the card to help you on the test tomorrow. Think of this a a "cheat sheet." You are not allowed to attach anything to the paper using glue, staples, post it, paper clip, etc. Don't forget to bring the 3 X 5 card tomorrow.
Had the period to work on the Decimals Practice Test. Will go over it tomorrow in class.
