Got your Chapter 3 Test back.  Have a great Christmas Vacation!

Took our test on Chapter 3. Gave out an Extreme Dot to Dot handout to work on.  This will be due during the second week of school when we come back in January.  On our first day of school in January I will tell you when during the second week of school it will due.  Make sure you color the Extreme Dot to Dot picture when you are done.  

Had the period to work on the Chapter 3 Practice Test.  We will go over it in class tomorrow.  Don't forget about our test on Thursday.

Starting in January if students turn in an assignment  late, the most they will be able to get for that assignment is 50%.  In order for a late assignment to get 5o %,  it must be completely done.  Late assignments that are not completely done will get less than 50%.  Also, starting in January, I will only be accepting late assignments for the chapter we are working on.  For example, while working in Chapter 2,  I will accept late assignments for that chapter only.  Once we take the  chapter 2 test and move on to the next chapter I will no longer accept late assignments for Chapter 2.  We went over all of this in class today. 

Finished talking about 3.4 Distributive Property.  Assignment for today is pg.  138. #39-48, 52-53.  Students had about 20 minutes in class to work on this.  Please write out the expressions and show your work like we did together in class.  

We will be having a test next Thursday on what we have been doing in Chapter 3.  In class today we went to ixl.com and under 6th grade worked on Y.8  Identify Terms and Coefficients and Y.14 Multiply using the Distributive Property.  Need to get 80 points for each of these to get full credit.  Anything above that up to 100 points is extra credit.  Had about 35 minutes in class to work on this.  Plenty of time to get this done in class.  

Went to ixl.com and worked on under 6th grade y.5 Evaluate Multi Variable Expressions.  Had the 30 minutes to work on this.  Need to get at least 80 points to get full credit.  I am available in the morning before school starting at 8 am if you need to use an iPad.  We will be having a test on Chapter 3 next week.

Went over 3.3 Properties of Addition and Multiplication.  Assignment for today is pg.  130. #5-8, 10, 12-18, 22-23.  Had about 2 minutes in class to work on this.  Please write out the problems for this assignment.  Remember one problem goes in a box.  We will be having a test on Chapter 3 sometime next week.  

Finished going over 3.1 Algebraic Expressions.  Looked at evaluating expressions with more than one operation. Assignment for today is a handout 3.1 Algebraic Expressions.  Please do problems 1, 4-17 on a separate piece of paper by making boxes.  One problem goes in a box.  please write out the expressions and show your work like we have been doing in class.  Had 30 minutes in class to work on this.
