Good morning!  Hope you had a nice holiday weekend.  For assignments this week, I am giving you some review from earlier in the year when we were at school.  This is the last week of assignments for the school year.  Please have all assignments both old and new done by this Sunday May 31st.  If you have completed an old assignment prior to the assignments I am going to give you below, please email me and tell me what you completed.  

The assignments are:

Go log onto ixl.com and complete Y.6 Evaluate variable expressions with decimals, fractions, and mixed numbers and J.3 Add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators.  Remember you want to get a score of at least 80.

Happy Monday.  I recorded on Jupitergrades the assignments you completed from last week's post.  If you completed any assignments from earlier weeks please email me to let me know what you did.

We are now in 8.3 Surface Area of Pyramids.  Please watch the video below to learn about how to find the surface area of pyramids and to review about how to find the surface area of prisms.
ASSIGNMENT #1
Log into clever.com and complete the assignment 8.3 Surface Area of Pyramids on Big Ideas.  Be sure to hit the submit button when you are done.

Log into ixl.com and complete FF.16 Surface Area of Cubes and Rectangular Prisms.  Goal is to get at least 80. This should be review. 
The last section in Chapter 8 is 8.4 Volume of Rectangular Prisms. Please watch the video below to learn about volume.
ASSIGNMENT #3
Log into clever.com and Complete the assignment 8.4 Volume on Big Ideas.  Don't forget to hit the submit button when you are done.

Hope you had a great weekend.  Over the weekend I recorded on JupiterGrades the scores from last week's assignments.  If you completed any older assignments prior to last week please email me to let me know what you did. 

This week we are going to be doing some more Geometry.  Earlier in the year we looked at how to find the area of figures like parallelograms, triangles, and trapezoids.  In Chapter 8 we are going to use what we learned earlier to learn about Surface Area and Volume.  The first section in Chapter 8 is titled Three-Dimensional Figures.  Please watch thevideos below to learn about some different types of three-dimensional figures, what are faces, vertices, and edges, and viewing the front, side, and top of three-dimensional figures (solids.)
ASSIGNMENT #1
Go log on to clever.com and go to Big Ideas to complete the assignment 8.1 Three-Dimensional Figures.  Be sure to hit the submit button when you are done.
ASSIGNMENT #2
On ixl.com under 6th grade math complete EE.4 Front, Side, and Top View.  Remember you want to get a score of at least 80.  
The next section in Chapter 8 deals with 8.2 Surface Area of Prisms.  Please watch the videos below to learn more about this.

Happy Monday! This is the 4th week I have been posting work for you to do online.  We are still in Chapter 10.  We will be using some concepts that we learned last week to learn how to display data in another way.  

I recorded on Jupitergrades over the weekend what you completed from last week's assignments.  If you have completed an assignment from  an earlier week and don't see it recorded on Jupitergrades please email me what you did.

We are going to begin 10.4 Box and Whisker Plots.  Please watch the video below.

ASSIGNMENT #2
Go to ixl.com and complete GG.20 Interpret box-and-whisker plots under 6th Grade Math.  Goal is to get at least an 80.

Go too clevver.com and complete the assignment Chapter 10 Review.  on Big Ideas.  Be sure to hit the submit button when you are done.
