Went over the practice test for Chapter 5.  Students should have all the correct answers.  Passed out a 3 by 5 card for students to write whatever they want on it to help them for the test tomorrow.   Tomorrow is the last day to turn in late work for Chapter 5.  

Had class time to work on pg.  242. #1-14.  Had enough time in class to get this done if you used your time wisely.  Will go over it tomorrow.  Remember there is a test on Thursday on Chapter 5.  Tomorrow you will be getting a practice test.  This Thursday is the last day to turn in late work for Chapter 5.  

Next Thursday we will be having a Test on Chapter 5.  Next Thursday is also the last day to turn in any late work for this chapter.  

Talked about Solving Percent Problems. 5.6  Assignment is pg.  229-230. #11-15, 17, 19, 27-32.  Due tomorrow.  We will be having a test next Thursday on Chapter 5.  

Worked on Graphiti 21 today in class.  Please make sure it is colored.  It will be due tomorrow.  We will go over the assignment from yesterday on Thursday.

Finished talking about Percents 5.5.  Assignment is pg.  222-223. #30-31, 33-36, 41-45. pg.  238. #1-4.  Due tomorrow.

Got you quizzes back today.  Talked about Percents 5.5. How to write a percent as a fraction and how to write a fraction as a percent.  Assignments pg.  222 #8-17, 21-28.  Due tomorrow.  

Took our quiz on 5.1 to 5.3.  Will get it back on Monday.  Don't forget that the Stain Glass Handout on Unit Rate is due on Monday.  Please see the post from Wednesday for the Handout if you need another one.

Talked about Comparing and Ordering Ratios 5.4.  Assignment is pg.  214. #3,4, 9, 10.  Please set up your two ratio tables for each problem as we discussed in class.  Show your work for your division.  Don't forget that when you decide which car gets the better gas mileage and which food is the better deal, that you give a sentence explanation  like the problem we did in class about bags of dog food.  Remember for the gas mileage problems you want to look for the higher number in your unit rates and for the food problems you want to look for the smaller number in your unit rate.

Tomorrow is our quiz on 5.1 to 5.3. It will cover ratios, ratios tables, and unit rates.  Study.  

Passed out a handout on unit rate.  This will be due on Monday The handout is titled Stain Glass Answer Find and Color Unit Rate.  Students had about 30 minutes in class to work on this today.    Remember that there is a quiz on Friday on 5.1 to 5.3.
