Today you are going to start a new project using Microsoft Word.  You are going to be making a comic strip.  To do this, we are going to review some features about Microsoft Word as well as some new features.  These include
 
1)Wrapping text using the tight option
2)Grouping shapes
3)Creating shapes and 
4)Cropping a picture
 
Below are the directions, the comic strip template, and a comic strip example.  Be creative with this assignment!  Do not copy ideas from the comic strip examples.

This Thursday will be the last day you will have to work on assignments in class.  Please use your time wisely.

It is assessment day.  You will be taking your last keyboarding assessment of the semester on a line from lesson 5.  

For the remainder of the period, you will be working on your Country movie.  It is due by the end of the period.  Please use your time wisely.  When you are done, please let me know so that I may take it from you.  Do not try to email me your movie, the file will be too large.  

Practicing our keyboarding today.  Remember our last assessment on a line from lesson 5 will be on Thursday and Friday of this week.  Below is the grading scale I use for our assessments.

For the first part of class you will be practicing keyboarding on www.keyboardingonline.com.  Our last keyboarding assessment will be on Thursday and Friday of this week.  It will be on a line from lesson 5.  

After keyboarding practice you will be working on your Country movie.  Today I will show you how to convert powerpoint slides into jpegs.  Remember at the end of your movie you need to have a slide that shows the websites where you got your information from and a slide that shows the urls where you got your images from.  You will put these websites on two different powerpoint slides and covert them to jpegs.  You movie will be due by the end of this week.  When you are done, please let me know so that I may get it from you.  Don't try to email it to me, the file will be to big to send

Today you are going to begin working on your iMovie about a country you would like to visit.  Below are the directions.  Please read them carefully and follow directions.

For this minimum day, you will be practicing your keyboarding on www.keyboardingonline.com.  Don't forget there will be an assessment next week on a line from Lesson 5.

For the remainder of the period, you will be working on completing your Country Notes Document.  You should have it done by the end of the period.  Please email it to me when you are done.  Use your time wisely.

For the remainder of class continue working on completing the country notes document about a country you would like to visit.  Please see the post from earlier in the week for the document if you need to download it.
