Today you are going to start a new project using Microsoft Word. You are going to be making a comic strip. To do this, we are going to review some features about Microsoft Word as well as some new features. These include 1)Wrapping text using the tight option 2)Grouping shapes 3)Creating shapes and 4)Cropping a picture Below are the directions, the comic strip template, and a comic strip example. Be creative with this assignment! Do not copy ideas from the comic strip examples. 
Remember, all work that is still able to be turned in for this class is due by Wednesday May 24th. Please use your time wisely.

For the past week and a half you should have been working on your book trailer using iMovie. By the end of this week you should be done with the book trailer. Please make sure you let me know when you are done, so I can get it from you.
Today we are going to begin the first step in creating our book trailer using iMovie. We are going to be creating a storyboard of our movie to help us organize and figure out our shots/series of slides(pictures and title slides. Below are the directions for the requirements for the book trailer movie, a storyboard template you will use to create your story board, as well as an example of a finished storyboard. When you are finished with your storyboard, please have me check it. Then you will be able to start creating your movie.
We are going to continue working on making our movie example using iMovie. The images you will use for this are below. Please download them from this website and put them in the folder we created yesterday called iMovie Example Photos.
Your movie should have the following: Title Slide-> type in iMovie Example make text and slide at least 4 seconds Title Slide-> type in Famous Landmarks/ make text and slide at least 4 seconds Insert the 6 images of Famous Landmarks. For each image type in what each image is by using Titles under the Content Library. Each image and text should be at least 5 seconds. Title Slide-> type in Cartoon Characters/Make text and slide at least 5 seconds. Insert the 6 images of Cartoon Characters. For each image type in what each image is by using Titles under the Content Library. Each image and text should be at least 5 seconds. Title Slide->type in Famous Olympic Athletes/Make text and slide at least 5 seconds Insert the 5 images of Famous Olympic Athletes. For each image type in what each image is by using Titles under the Content Library. Each image and text should be at least 5 seconds. Title Slide->Type in Automobiles/Make text and slide at least 4 seconds Insert the 5 images of Automobiles. For each image type in what each image is by using Titles under the Content Library. Each image and text should be at least 5 seconds. BETWEEN EACH IMAGE AND TITLE SLIDE YOU NEED TO ADD A TRANSITION. TRANSITIONS SHOULD BE FOUND UNDER THE CONTENT LIBRARY. Title Slide->Type in an ending such as “The End” /Make text and slide at least 5 seconds. THE DOCUMENT BELOW HAS THE NAMES OF THE PICTURES ABOVE IF YOU DON"T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE.
When you are done with the iMovie, please let me know so I can check it for a grade.
Tomorrow in class we will begin our project using a book you have read. Please have your book tomorrow ready to begin. Remember the book cannot be a book you have read in your language arts class as a class book or a book that has a movie or tv series with it. Also, you may not use any Diary of a Whimpy Kid book.
Today we are going to begin to learn about the video editing software on the computer call iMovie. In your documents please make a folder and call it iMovie Example Photos. Please download the photos below and put them in this folder.
Today is the last phase of your Jeopardy Powerpoint Game project. We will be inserting hyperlinks so that we can navigate through the slides to play the game. Below are the directions. Please turn in when your are done. .
