Went over the Chapter 5 Practice Test today in class. Students should have all the correct answers. I will collect the practice test tomorrow. I passed out a 3 X 5 paper in class. You may write whatever you want on the card to help you on the test tomorrow. Think of this a a "cheat sheet." You are not allowed to attach anything to the paper using glue, staples, post it, paper clip, etc. Don't forget to bring the 3 X 5 card. tomorrow. Our decimals test is tomorrow. Had about 20 minutes to work on the Holiday Graph Picture that was assigned last Friday. This is due on Thursday.
Had the period to work on the Chapter 5 Practice Test. We will go over it tomorrow. Don't forget that our Chapter 5 Test is this Wednesday. Remember your graph picture from last Friday December 13th is due this Thursday. 
Finished taking notes on 5.6 Percent Problems. Looked at percent problems where you had to find the whole. Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas through Clever and complete 5.6 Percent Problems Part 2 (pg. 230 #29-36, 39 from the textbook.). Please solve these on another piece of paper by making boxes. You will turn this paper in on Monday. Please submit your answers in Big Ideas when you are done. Had 30 minutes in class to work on this. Don't forget that our Chapter 5 Test will be on Wednesday December 18th. Passed out Winter/Holiday Coordinate Plane Mystery Picture. This will be due next Thursday December 19th. Please make sure it is colored.
Started taking notes on 5.6 Percent Problems. Looked at how to find the percent of a number. Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas through Clever and complete 5.6 Percent Problems (pg. 229 #11-20, 21, 22, 25 from the textbook.). Please solve these problems on another piece of paper by making boxes. One problem goes in a box. You will turn in this paper tomorrow. Remember if your answer is not a whole number, write the answer as a decimal. Don't forget to submit your answers in Big Ideas when you are done. Had 35 minutes in class to work on this.
We will be having our Chapter 5 Test next Wednesday December 18th. 4th Period took notes on 5.5 Percents. 6th Period began taking notes on 5.6 Percent Problems. Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas through Clever and complete 5.5 Percents (pg. 222-223 #8-13, 15-17, 21-28, 30-31, 41-45 from the textbook.). Had 20 minutes in class to work on this. We will be having a test on Chapter 5 next Wednesday. December 18th.
4th Period Participated in the Plus Forum. 4th period will turn in yesterday's assignment tomorrow. For 6th period, took notes on 5.5 Percents. No assignment today.
Finished going over 5.4 Comparing and Graphing Ratios. Assignment for today is a handout called 5.4 Comparing and Graphing Ratios Handout. In your explanations of which item is the better buy please make sure you include the unit rates. Due tomorrow.
Took notes on 5.3 Rates. Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas through Clever and complete. 5.3 Rates. (pg. 208-209 #7-18,28-32 from the textbook. Had twenty minutes in class to work on this.
Had the period to work on the Evaluating Expressions/Distributive Property Handout. Due tomorrow.
