Had the period to work on Math Flow #31/Pumpkin Halloween #1 Handout. Due tomorrow. Don't forget that the Unit 1 Test corrections for those students who got below a C- are due on Tuesday November 4th. Please see the post from Tuesday for more information. If you need to take the test, I do make ups in the morning before school. 
Started Amplify Unit 2 Lesson 2 Ratio Relationships Describing Ratios Classwork. For this we are using pgs. 120-125 from the Volume 1 workbooks..
Remember the Unit 1 Test corrections for those students who got below a C- is due next Tuesday November 4th. I will not accept them after this date. Please see yesterday's post for more information on this. Got your Unit 1 Test back. If you got below a C- (D+, D, D-, or F I need a parent signature on the test. If this applies to you, you may try to raise up your grade to a C- by correctly fixing all the problems you got wrong on a separate piece of paper showing your work. If you are correcting #5 on the test you need to rewrite the explanation based on the comments I put on your paper. If you are correcting #3 make sure you do it on grid paper. I have grid paper for you to use if you need it. Do this and I can raise up your grade. I need this by Tuesday October 4th. If you were absent and didn't take the test, you need to come talk to me to arrange a time to make up the test. I generally do make ups in the morning before school.
Got on our Ipads and Completed Unit 2 Lesson 1 Pizza Maker Exploring Ratios Classwork. If you didn't finish this in class, you will need to finish it at home. Tomorrow we are starting Lesson 2. Had the period to work on the Surface Area of Prisms Handout. Due tomorrow.
Finished correcting the Unit 1 Review Handout. Don't forget that we have our Unit 1 Test tomorrow. Please make sure you have a chapter book tomorrow. I will be checking.
Worked on the Unit 1 Review Handout. Had 30 minutes in class to work on this. Started correcting it in class. Got through #6. Will finish correcting it tomorrow. Don't forget we have our Unit1 Test on Friday.
Logged onto Amplify through Clever and completed Unit 1 Lesson 13 Classwork. If you didn't finish this you will need to finish this at home. Collected the paper that had the work for the 3 Challenge Problems from the classwork. Took notes on this lesson and put it in our spiral notebook. Below is a copy of the notes and completed notes for this lesson. Went back to Amplify on our Ipads and complete the Lesson Practice From Unit 1 Lesson 13. If you didn't finish this in class you will need to finish it at home. Due tomorrow. Finally, our Unit 1 Test is this Friday
Looked at Slide #4 on Unit 1 Lesson 13 Face Value Surface Area Wthout A Grid Classwork. This was Challenge #3. We used the paper from yesterday to find the surface area of the prism. We drew a net, labeled the sides of the net, and wrote down the dimensions of each side of the prism to help us find the area of each side. Then we added all the area together to find the surface area. We will turn this paper in tomorrow when we finish the classwork for this lesson.
