Had the period to work on the Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying Fractions Review Handout.  Due tomorrow.  Quiz Monday on what we have done with fractions so far.

Finished taking notes on 2.1 Multiplying Fractions.  Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas online and complete 2.1 Multiplyijng Fractions Part 3 (pg 60 (38-39, 47-53 from the textbook).  Had 20 minutes in class to work on this.  Please make sure you submit your answers in Big Ideas when you are done.  Need to solve these problems on a piece of paper by making boxes.  One problem goes in a box.  I will collect this paper tomorrow.  Make sure you write down the original problem on your paper.  Had 2o minutes in class to work on this.  

We will be having a quiz on Monday on Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying Fractions.

Continued taking notes on 2.1 Multiplying Fractions.  Talked about how to multiply mixed numbers.  Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas online through Clever and complete 2.1 Multiplyiing Fractions Part 2. (pg.  59-60. #21-22,29-37 from the textbook).  Please solve these on another piece of paper showing your work.  Write out the original problem first before solving.  Need to make boxes for these problems.  Remember one problem goes in a box.  I will collect this paper tomorrow.  Don't forget to submit your answers in Big Ideas when you are done.  Had 20 minutes in class to work on this.

Chapter 1 Test corrections for those students who got below a C- is due on Friday.  I will be emptying the no name pile on Wednesday.

Got your Chapter 1 Test back.  If you got below a C- (D+, D, D-, or F I need a parent signature on the test.  If this applies to you, you may try to raise up your grade to a C- by correctly fixing all the problems you got wrong on a separate piece of paper showing your work.  Do this and I can raise up your grade.  I need this by Friday Septermber 27th. If you were absent and didn't take the test, you need to come talk to me to arrange a time to make up the test..  I generally do make ups in the morning before school.  

I will be emptying the no name pile next Wednesday September 25th.  

Started talking about Adding and Subtracting Fractions with unlike Denominators.  Assignment for today is a handout called Adding and Subtracting Fractions Handout.  Do problems 3-4, 6-7, 13, 16, 18, 21-23.  Had twenty minutes to work on this.  Due on Monday.  Had plenty of time to get this done in class.  You should be solving these problems on another piece of paper by making boxes.  One problem goes in a box.  For the word problems, put your answer in a sentence.

Don't forget that your Order of Operations Color by Numbers Handouts is due tomorrow.  Will get your Chapter 1 Test back tomorrow
