Worked on the triangle and square optical illusions. Remember these are due by the end of this week Friday May 10th. The 9.4 Review handout is due on Monday May 13th.

Worked on the square optical illusion design. Remember you need to make 11 squares besides the one that is on your paper. Please color it when you are done. This does count for a grade. Due next week.

Went over 9.4 Measure of Variation. Learned about how to find the range, 1st quartile, 3rd quartile, and the interquartile range of a set of numbers. Went to Big Ideas through Clever and completed 9.4 Measure of Variation (pgs. 416-417#6-9, 11-14, 23-25 from the textbook.). Had 35 minutes in class to work on this.
Went over 9.3 Measure of Center. Learned about how to find the median and mean of a set of numbers. Assignment for today is to go Big Ideas through Clever and complete 9.3 Measure of Center (pg. 407 #5-16 from the textbook. Had 25 minutes in class to work on this.
Had the period to work on the 8.1 to 8.2 Review/9.2 Practice A Handout.
Talked about 9.2 Mean today. Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas through Clever and complete 9.2 Mean (pgs. 400-401. #6-10, 12, 19-23 from the textbook. Had 25 minutes in class to work on this.
Got your Chapter 8 Test back today. If you got below a C- (D+, D, D-, or F I need a parent signature on the test. If this applies to you, you may try to raise up your grade to a C- by correctly fixing all the problems you got wrong on a separate piece of paper showing your work. Do this and I can raise up your grade. I need this by Tuesday April 30th. If you were absent and didn't take the test, you need to come talk to me to arrange a time to make up the test. I generally do make ups in the morning before school. |
