Had the period to work on the Chapter 3 Review. We will be having our Chapter 3 Test this Friday November 3rd. 
Talked about 3.4 Extension Factoring Expressions today. Went to Big Ideas through Clever and completed 3.4 Extension Factoring Expressions (pg. 141 #2-16 in the textbook). Had 25 minutes in class to work on this.
We will be having a test on Chapter 3 next Friday. Went over 3.4 Distributive Property. Assignment is to go to Big Ideas through Clever and complete 3.4 Distributive Property (pg. 137-138. #18-28, 39-38 from the textbook. Had 20 minutes in class to work on this.
Don't forget Decimals Test Corrections are due on Monday. Went over 3.2 Writing Expressions. Assignment for the day is going to Big Ideas through Clever and completing 3.2 Writing Expressions (pgs. 122-123. #3-18, 27-29. Had 25 minutes in class to work on this.
Finished talking about 3.1 Algebraic Expressions. Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas through Clever and complete. 3.1 Algebraic Expressions Part 2 (pgs. 116-117 #25-36, 38-39, 43-44, 46-51 from the textbook. Had 25 minutes in class to work on this.
Test corrections for the Decimals test is due on Monday. Got your Decimals Test back today. If you got below a C- (D+, D, D-, or F I need a parent signature on the test. If this applies to you, you may try to raise up your grade to a C- by correctly fixing all the problems you got wrong on a separate piece of paper showing your work. Do this and I can raise up your grade. I need this by Monday October 30th. If you were absent and didn't take the test, you need to come talk to me to arrange a time to make up the test. I generally do make ups in the morning before school.
Started talking about 3.1 Algebraic Expressions. Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas through Clever and complete 3.1 Algebraic Expressions (pg. 67-68 #8-12,15, 16-21 from the textbook) Had 20 minutes in class to work on this. Took our Decimals Test today. If you need more time to finish. I am available on Monday before school starting at 8 a. m. and during break. If you don't come in during one of those times I will grade your test.
Went over the Fractions Practice Test today in class. Students should have all the correct answers. I will collect the practice test tomorrow. I passed out a 3 X 5 card/paper in class. You may write whatever you want on the card to help you on the test tomorrow. Think of this a a "cheat sheet." You are not allowed to attach anything to the paper using glue, staples, post it, paper clip, etc. Don't forget to bring the 3 X 5 card. tomorrow. Tomorrow is test day.
I will be emptying the no name pile tomorrow. Spent the period on the Decimals Practice Test. Don't do problems, 1, 2, 8, and 10. Due tomorrow. Reminder our Decimals test is on Friday. I will be emptying the no name pile on Friday.
