Finished going over 1.3 Order of Operations. Went to Big Ideas through Clever and completed 1.3 Order of Operations Part 2 (pgs. 20-21 #15-28 from the textbook). Had 25 minutes in class to work on this. If you didn't finish this in class you need to finish this at home.
Don't forget we have a quiz on Tuesday on 1.1 to 1.3.

Started talking about 1.3 Order of Operations. Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas through Clever and Complete 1.3 Order of Operations (pg. 20 #2-14 from the textbook). Had 15 minutes in class to work on this. If you need access to an electronic device to finish your assignment, I am available in the morning before school from 8:00 to 8:30 a. m. On Tuesday, September 5th we will be having a quiz over what we have done from our textbook so far. That is sections 1.1 to 1.3.
Talked about 1.2 Powers and Exponents. Went to Big Ideas online through Clever to complete 1.2 Power and Exponents. (pgs. 14-15 #4-17, 22, 24-32, 35-36.) Had 20 minutes in class to work on this. If you don't have access to doing this online at home, I am available in the morning before school from 8:00 to 8:30 to use an iPad. Please remember to submit your answers in Big Ideas when you are done.

Started taking notes on 1.1 Whole Number Operations. I passed out a handout for this in class. We will continue filling out these notes tomorrow. This paper should go in your 3-Ring Binder.
Got iPads and logged into Clever to complete an assignment on Big Ideas online. The assignment is 1.1 Whole Number Operations (pg. 7. #8, 9, 13-19 from the textbook..) If you didn't finish this in class, you need to finish it at home. Please remember to submit your answers when you are done with the assignment from Big Ideas online. If you don't have access to an electronic device at home you may come by R1 in the morning before school from 8:00 to 8:30 to complete the assignment on an iPad I collected your Menu Math assignment. If you haven't finished it yet and didn't turn it in please get that turned in as soon as possible.
Finished working on the IXL Diagnostic Test. Continued taking the Diagnostic Test on IXL. We will finish this tomorrow. Remember your Menu Math Assignment is due tomorrow. Please see the post from last week for more information about this.
Passed out log in information for a website called IXL. This is something we will be using this year. Please make sure you write your username and password for this in your binder reminder.
