Continued looking at 7.2 Solving Equations Using Addition or Subtraction. Assignment for today is from the textbook again. It is pgs. 305-306. #24-26, 40-48.. Please show your work. Had twenty minutes in class to work on this. Graphiti 17 A is due tomorrow. Please make sure you color the picture. For Period 4, the Graphiti 17A is due on Friday.
Chapter 6 Test corrections for those students who got below a C- is due on Monday March 4th. Please see the post from yesterday for more information on this. Got your Chapter 6 Test back today. If you got below a C- (D+, D, D-, or F I need a parent signature on the test. If this applies to you, you may try to raise up your grade to a C- by correctly fixing all the problems you got wrong on a separate piece of paper showing your work. Do this and I can raise up your grade. I need this by Monday March 4th. If you were absent and didn't take the test, you need to come talk to me to arrange a time to make up the test. I generally do make ups in the morning before school.
Started talking about 7.2 Solving Equations Using Addition and Subtraction. Assignment for today is from the textbook. pg. 305 #8-11, 18-20, 22-23, 27-28. Had 15 minutes in class to work on this. Please make sure you write out the equation and show your work for each problem. See me if you have any questions. Took our Chapter 6 Test today. Will get it back on Monday. Worked on Graphiti 17A Handout. This will be due on Wednesday.
Went over the Chapter 6 Review today in class. Students should have all the correct answers. I will collect the practice test tomorrow. I passed out a 3 X 5 card/paper in class. You may write whatever you want on the card to help you on the test tomorrow. Think of this a a "cheat sheet." You are not allowed to attach anything to the paper using glue, staples, post it, paper clip, etc. Don't forget to bring the 3 X 5 card. tomorrow. Tomorrow is test day. I will collect the Chapter 6 Review from you tomorrow.
Don't forget the Order of Operations Mystery Picture is due tomorrow. Students had the period to work on the Chapter 6 Review Handout. We will go over it tomorrow in class. Remember our Chapter 6 Test is on Friday. Please turn in the Order of Operations Myster Picture Handout that was given out on Valentine's Day by Friday.
Talked about 6.4 Absolute Value. Assignment for today is to go to Big Ideas through Clever and complete 6.4 Absolute Value (pgs. 272-273 #4-15, 17-22, 27-30, 35-37 from the textbook). Had 20 minutes in class to work on this.
